My Favorites for Knitting and Crocheting – Chapter 1

I’ve been knitting and crocheting for many years. I’m convinced that if you learn to crochet first, then knitting feels extra challenging, and if you learn to knit first, crocheting feels extra challenging. While I can complete somewhat complex crochet patterns, I’m still a beginner knitter for sure!

These are some of my favorite products for knitting and crochet projects:

Tools

Bamboo circular needles – I love the texture of these needles, and the price is pretty great, too!

Cute stitch markers – I used to be so intimidated by stitch markers, but now I really love to use them. I have some adorable, beaded stitch markers. I’ve also seen some cute stitch markers on Instagram and Etsy that I might just have to order!

Metal crochet hooks – these are pretty basic, but I love the weight of them. My go-to crochet hook sizes are G and H.

Big Twist Soft – I LOVE the texture of this yarn. It’s so soft and works great for a variety of projects.

Caron Simply Soft – This is another favorite yarn of mine, a bit thinner than the Big Twist Soft, and works great for so many patterns.

Patterns

There are a few patterns that I do over and over. They are fairly simply and straightforward and work great with the two yarns I mentioned above.
