Easy Ribbed Throw Blanket Free Crochet Pattern

Materials

2-3 skeins of Pound of Love yarn

Crochet Hook size G

Size

Customizable. I made mine 40”x48”.

Stiches

Ch – chain

SC – single crochet

HHDC – herringbone half double crochet

BLO – back loop only

SlSt – slip stitch

Pattern

Chain to desired length. I chose to make mine about 40 inches wide. 

Row 1: Beginning in second chain from hook, HHDC in each chain across.

Rows 2: Chain 2, HHDC in BLO of each stitch across. 

Repeat row two until blanket reaches desired length. 

Border

Round 1: At the end of your final row, CH 1. SC around the entire blanket, placing stitches evenly along the edges. At corners, you will need to do 1 or 2 extra SC in order to prevent the edge from curling. SlSt to first SC.

Round 2: Chain 2. HHDC around in each stitch, with 1 or 2 extra HHDC at the corners. SlSt to first HHDC to finish. 

Weave in ends and wrap up in your cozy new throw!
